New Stuff, Busy Stuff, and Sick Stuff...

Need an update? Here goes...

First, I got a new calling in our ward. I'm back in Young Women's as the Miamaid Advisor. It is a lot of fun to be in Young Womens and I'm excited to have one of my nieces in my class, but it takes up so much time! We just had a planning meeting and planned a bunch of stuff through the end of the year. I've got to talk about Personal Progress in about a month at our Young Women in Excellence night, so if you've got any ideas on how to make my talk fun and exciting, let me know. I've gotta go over the program in a creative way, not just read it out of the manual and I haven't found any ideas yet.

Second, the kids have been sick all week. Sierra started it all on Sunday night when she started throwing up right before I went to BYD. She was up all night, but was fine in the morning and held everything down, so she went to school and gymnastics. Then about 10 that night, it started up again. Same thing happened, she was fine in the morning, but I kept her home from school due to that and the fact that she had a mosquito bite. Not a big deal, right? Wrong. The mosquito bit her right below her eye, and her eye swelled up so bad it was halfway shut. It also turned purple. I sent a note in to her teacher so we wouldn't get DCFS called on us! It's looking better today, but is still a little swollen and looks like she got hit in the eye. She's been fine since Tuesday, but Jax started in throwing up Tuesday night, and Brooke woke up Wednesday morning doing it too! Lucky for me, Jay was able to take that day off and stayed home to help me referee and clean them all up all day. Thank goodness Brooke was feeling better when he left for school.

Things are looking up today, so hopefully we are past it. We've got too many fun activities planned for this month for them to be sick. We've already decorated for Halloween, and I was so excited about my awesome new garland and a few of our fun finds this year. We're also getting ready for our trip down to St. George and Las Vegas to visit my sisters. Can't wait!
