Since it is Jaxson's birthday month, I thought I'd spotlight him and tell you a little bit more about him.
First off, Jax is a sweetheart. He always comes to sit by me and snuggle up on the couch. He's the first to give hugs and kisses. He is pretty sensitive and doesn't like to be scared. Unfortunately, his mom is a big tease and loves to freak him out! He happily entertains himself and doesn't need a lot of our attention. You can often find him playing in the corner by himself. He is bossed around by his big sister and tends to do most of what she says. He loves Brooke and is always giving her toys or her bottle to keep her happy. He also loves his Grandma's and Grandpa's and asks me every day if we can go to their houses. He's also turned into a pretty good shopper. Since Sierra has been in school, Jax, Brooke, and I always go shopping. He just sits in the cart and is usually just happy to be there. It is so easy to just take him and Brooke with me.
Jax loves to play with his food. He is the grossest eater I have ever seen and no matter what we do or say, it hasn't changed since he started feeding himself. He is the type that will mix and mash all his food together, dump his milk on top, and use his fingers to mix it all together. I just try not to watch him when we are eating. His favorite foods are pizza and hot dogs and usually he eats them so fast that he doesn't make a mess. He also has a big sweet tooth! (Not a surprise knowing who his parents are!) He loves cookies and his favorite candy is M&M's. He'll love you forever if you give him some.
Jax also loves trains. His Grandpa Holt introduced him to GeoTrax about 7 months ago and he has played with them nonstop. He got some for Christmas and his birthday and loves to get all of them out and build the whole town. He also got a DVD, so we have to watch it every day and then he reenacts it with his own toys. He also loves watching Thomas the Tank on tv. Whenever he hears a train go by outside, he always runs to the front door to see it go past; even if it's 10 degrees outside!
Jaxson's favorite character is Mickey Mouse. He has gotten into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and likes to watch it and dance to it. He got the cd for Christmas and listens to it everyday during quiet time. Jax loves to play on the computer and thanks to his Aunt Kris is always bugging me to play Webkinz. He also visits playhousedisney.com and can manuever all around that site to play games, read stories, and print pictures of Mickey Mouse to color. Our goal is to visit Disneyland next year so he can meet Mickey Mouse.Jaxson is also a clutz. He fell off the kitchen counter when he was 21 months old and I don't think he has ever fully recovered. He walks into walls all the time and trips and falls down the stairs at least once a week. He even falls down when nothing is around him. We call him Mr. Oblivious! Maybe someday he'll start to pay attention to where he's going.
Jaxson loves to play outside. He will sit in a swing and make you push him for hours and hours. Even if we quit pushing him, he'll still just sit there. He got around pretty well last summer on his Diego big wheel. He doesn't use the pedals, but gets around as quick as Fred Flinstone, just using his feet. He plays with Macee, his little neighbor friend all the time and is always excited to see her. They have a fun time following eachother around the neighborhood and playing. We can't wait for the snow to melt and summer to start.
He does have the cutest personality and makes me laugh all the time. There's just something about him that makes everybody love him. His nursery leaders have all told us how much they enjoy having him in class and that he is their favorite kid, even though they aren't supposed to have favorites. I love the way he walks and the faces that he makes. He's got the darkest brown eyes I've ever seen and they are framed with longer eyelashes then I ever thought were possible. (Thanks, Dad!) He is very laid back and easy going and takes his own time at getting things done. He loves to help Mom cook in the kitchen and watch her play games on the computer. We love Jax and are glad he's part of our family!
