Time Flies!

Wow! I know everyone has been looking for an update, but life has just been crazy since we got back from vacation last Sunday. We celebrated Father's Day when we got home about 4:00 in the afternoon. It was practically like Christmas, since we gave all the kids their souvenirs that we picked up in Alaska, plus Jay got all his Father's Day gifts. He got a new set of scriptures, Madden 08 for the Wii, and the Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD. Then, we skipped the unpacking, laundry, and cleaning and went to my parent's house to give them their gift from Alaska and tell my dad Happy Father's Day.

Jay was supposed to have Monday off, but got called in to work by his boss, so he was gone all day and off to school that night. I had a show on Tuesday night, and Wednesday morning, so those days were both crazy. Jay finished up his tests and schoolwork on Wednesday and was spent the day in the computer lab until 9 at night. Thankfully he's done for 6 weeks and then only has two elective courses to finish. I've got a major honey-do list to be completed!
Thursday we went to the Strawberry Days Rodeo in Pleasant Grove. It's our favorite rodeo because they serve Strawberries 'N Cream. I think Jax ate two cup fulls and finished off his cousins too. He even asked for more after that! We saw two of Jay's brothers there and found some good seats by Richard and Tracie. (Thanks for saving us a spot!) The kids had a great time and everyone around us just laughed at Brooklyn because she would get so excited when she saw the sheep, horses, and cows. She would scream and clap her hands and watch them as they ran around the arena. Sierra wanted to do the Mutton Bustin', but Jaxson said no way. I think the kids' favorite part was when the motorcycle jumpers came out juust before the bull riding. They went jumping off the ramps and the kids just went crazy clapping and yelling for them. They did some awesome tricks in the air. Sierra liked the bull riding, and the rodeo "princesses". Jaxson liked the rodeo clown. Both kids loved watching the rodeo, especially when they had strawberries in their hands! We had a lot of fun and went home with a bunch of tired kids.

Our trip was awesome and I'll be posting about it soon. Jay took almost 300 pictures! He kept trying to get pictures of the whales and dolphins, but it looks like we ended up mostly with pictures of just the ocean. I'm still sorting through and getting them organized so I'll post as soon as I'm done!
