Water Fight!

The other day we were having a lazy day. We had spent the day in our pajamas and were just hanging out. After naps, I made strawberry banana shakes for us. Sierra and Jax went running outside and spilled one of them all over the front porch. So I poked my head out the door and yelled at them to come back inside, since they were still in their pajamas. Jax came in and I was taking care of something with Brooke. The next time I looked outside, Sierra had the hose and was trying to water my flowers. The problem is that the nozzle was set to jet stream, so it was blowing all the blossoms off and killing the plants. Again, I stuck my head out to tell her to knock it off, and the little turd started spraying the glass door. Everytime I tried to go out, she would spray it and laugh her head off because I couldn't go out and get her. Well, I'm not about to be outdone by a 5 year old, so I tried to get Jax to stand in front of the door to distract her while I snuck out the back. But that plan didn't work since he kept flinching and thinking he was going to get wet even though he was behind the glass. But I took off anyway and snuck around the side of the house. I ran between the garbage cans and the truck; so far so good. But when I poked my head around the back of the truck, she saw me. So I took off running at her and of course, she sprayed me right in the chest and down one leg. I got the hose from her and doused her, but it was too late. I was standing in my front yard in my little white t-shirt, soaking wet. I went on the porch to spray off the shake and when I look up, my neighbors are standing in their driveway laughing their heads off at me. Golden yells, "Your shirt needs to be just a little wetter if you want to win the contest!" Hello! I was so embarrassed. They had watched the whole thing. Golden heard me yelling at Sierra out the door, so he went and got Cassie and they watched and waited to see what would happen. I think they are the ones who tipped her off. She saw them, but I didn't. Anyway, Jay got a good laugh when he got home, and I'm sure I'll be enduring jokes all summer long!
