Busy, Busy, Busy!

We have been going crazy at our house getting ready for Christmas. Last Thursday, both of the kids had their Christmas programs. We headed over to Jax's preschool about 10:15. We watched them sing and dance, and then had treats. It was quite the production and kudos to Miss Lacy for trying to get 10 three year olds to hold still and do what they were supposed to! Later that afternoon, we went to Sierra's school to watch the kindergarteners do their thing. They did a really good job and were fun to watch. After more treats, we headed home.

That whole day, we also had Jay's brother and his buddy here working on our basement. They got everything framed in that room and hopefully we'll get the electrical done soon and get the drywall up. We had them build a wall to separate the office from the laundry room and put in a closet. They also had to frame in the ceiling. It sure was fun to clean up all the sawdust and snow that was tracked all through the house! But, I'm so excited to have that room finished. We need the extra space!
Saturday was also a crazy day. It was the day of our Holt Family Christmas Party. My sisters came up from St. George and Las Vegas, so the whole family was here. Jay was at work all day, so I got the kids ready and headed up to my mom's house in the morning. We hung out and played all day, then started decorating gingerbread houses late in the afternoon. We had an awesome dinner, and when Jay showed up, we were finally able to open presents. We all got spoiled, and loved all our gifts. Thanks for putting it all together, Mom & Dad!
