Changes

Since the new year has begun, many changes have been taking place in our home. We had our pet parakeet, Dopey, die the other night. He's been part of our family for 8 years and we're quite sad to see him go. We'll miss his fun personality and his voice. He loved eating popcorn, doritoes, and taking baths on the kitchen sink. He could say his name and whistle a few short tunes. The kids keep asking about him and are having their first real experience learning about death. He will be missed.

Brooklyn has also been making a lot of changes. She is rolling everywhere now and can make her way towards whatever she finds on the floor. We just started feeding her cereal and she's loving it. She grows bigger everyday and enjoys learning about all the new things she encounters.

We've also been potty training Jaxson! What a challenge it is! He's done pretty well, most of it is us worrying about taking him anywhere. We have to stay consistent and it takes up a lot of our time. I think I took him to the bathroom about 10 times the other day just to have him stand there and do nothing. But, what can you do? His little neighbor friend was over here the other day and is going through the same thing. I think I spent most of the time in the bathroom with at least one of them! We will be glad when he's done.

Jay is back in school and we are adjusting to the new schedule. There are also a lot of changes with work. I'm upping my show schedule with PC while things are changing with the jobs I'm doing for my dad. And like always, Jay is taking care of all the employee changes at his stores. All in all, change is good as we continue to stay busy!
