Birthday Fun

My birthday was on Monday, but Jay had to work and then had school, so we decided to do something fun to celebrate on Wednesday when he had the day off. Monday was fairly normal, taking care of the kids and everything until there was a knock on the door about 6:30. We walked up and there were two presents sitting on the front porch. Then, Jay comes walking up. He had decided to skip school and come home to celebrate. What a great surprise! We opened presents and then got some pizza for dinner. He got me an iVoice to play my iPod on and a new blender since our old one broke. I also had done some shopping for clothes, so I was pretty set there! On Wednesday, we got ready and went to IHOP for breakfast. I love restaurant breakfast and my birthday is the only time I can make Jay take me out for breakfast! Then we had decided to take the kids to Kangaroo Zoo; a place that has big inflatable toys for them to play on. They had a blast and even Jax went on the big slide by himself. He had a little trouble climbing up the ladders, but he had fun. Sierra, of course, skampered up everything quick as a monkey. We even tried to put Brooklyn on one, but anytime we got near one she'd bury her head into my shoulder. I'm sure she'll be running right along with the others in another few months though. Jay and I were just able to relax and let the kids tire themselves out. We also stopped for Cold Stone ice cream on the way home. Yum! It was a geat way to celebrate. Thanks Jay!
