I give up trying to raise our kids! I told Jay that I'll go back to work full time and he can be a stay at home Dad! It seems like no matter how hard you try to protect your kids and keep them safe, they just find trouble!
I constantly vacuum and pick things up downstairs and yet I'm always finding Brooklyn with something in her mouth that she shouldn't have. Having one of my kids choke to death is one of my biggest fears and I don't know how she continually finds things to put in her mouth. It looks spotless to me and yet she has a knack for finding the one thing I miss.
Then, tonight at dinner, I was clearing off the table and putting the food away while the kids finished eating their dinner. (You know it takes them an hour to eat!) So, then Sierra announces that Jax has food in his nose and I look up there and it's a pea! What the !!??!! Who would ever think of sticking a pea up his nose? All I can think about is the movie One Fine Day where the kid has a marble up his nose and they take him to the doctor and use some tool called an alligator to get it out. I was thinking we'd have to take another trip to the emergency room that would cost us another $500! Of course, Jay ended up working 12 hours today because he didn't have coverage at one of his stores, so I'm already upset about that and as I call him, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. He must love getting these phone calls at work! Luckily, we were able to blow it out, but this will be a fun story to tell future girlfriends!
