Happy Easter!!

Wow, what a busy week!

It seems like life never stops for one moment! Maybe it is because Brooklyn has decided to start crawling everywhere. I came downstairs the other day and she had crawled into a laundry basket full of clothes I had just folded. She even tries to follow me up the stairs! If there's something on the floor, she has no problems climbing over it. She's busy, busy, busy, and only 8 months old. I think she's going to give her sister a run for her money.

Wednesday was Jay's day off, but we definitely didn't get any relaxing done. After Sierra went to school, we had to head up to the dentist. Ugh. I remember why I never go. I had a filling coming loose that I needed fixed and it's been a few years. The last dentist I went to was horrible and even though we fixed a bunch of things, they were all bad again. Word to the wise... find a good dentist! My fillings got fixed and look great now! Of course, both Jay and I have to go back two more times to get work done. Sierra's teeth looked great, but her mouth is still too small to get x-rays done. We were there all afternoon and then had to hurry home to be with the guy who was installing our door. That's right, we bought a storm door and had it installed. I've never been so excited about getting a door before! It's glass, but you can pull the top down and a screen comes out. We've been wanting one for a long time and were finally able to do it. Now we just have to get used to it slamming shut on us!

On Friday night, we colored our Easter Eggs. We did 3 dozen and the kids did a great job. All Jax's eggs were blue and green. He couldn't do any that were pink, purple, or red, because those colors are for girls! Sierra wrote her name on about 6 of hers, and of course, Jay did his traditional St. Louis Cardinals egg! I think there were only 3 spills, but Jax cried when he realized there were no more eggs to color. He would have done it all night!

Saturday was cleaning the house day, since Jay was at school and work from 8 in the morning until 11 at night. We finally got into bed about 2 in the morning after getting everything ready. Sunday morning dawned bright and early. We showered and got ready for church and the kids finally woke up about 8:30. Jax and Brooke were up first and after he was ready, I sent Jax in to wake up Sierra. She laid around until we told her she better see if the Easter Bunny came. After that, she was up and dressed in one minute! They lined up on the stairs, just like Christmas morning and came down to check out their baskets. Along with all the candy, the Easter bunny left some spring clothes, books, towels, flip-flops, and a toy for each. There was also a wagon for the whole family to share. It will be great for our summer outings! This is the first time the kids have ever worn flip-flops, and Sierra was fine, but Jax is still getting used to his. He just shuffles his feet, instead of walking so they won't fall off. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen! We hunted for eggs, which the kids were pretty good at, and then finished getting ready for church. After church, Jay took them on a wagon ride around the neighborhood while I made deviled eggs for our dinner. We headed up to Grandma Holt's house for ham, mashed potatoes, raspberry salad, white frozen slush, and cheesecake. Dinner tasted awesome and we watched Enchanted when we were done. (It was a really cute show!) Mom also gave me my birthday present: an electric toothbrush and water pik. Surprise, she works at the dentist's office! No really, it was great and something I'd asked for! We had a great time and Easter was fabulous!

Mom is in so much trouble! I got underwear in a Walmart grocery bag!! How did you get something different? She's definitely going to hear about this one. Lucky girl! Maybe it's cuz you're so old!
