Brrrrr...

Anyone who knows me knows that I love the Zoo. Last year when they started Zoo Lights, we thought we'd make it a tradition to go every year. So, even though it was freezing cold last night, we took all the kids, bundled them up, and walked around the Zoo for a couple hours.

They've done a great job with the lights. There are so many lights, and it's fun to see all the different animals they have. Brooke would wave at all the lights that were shaped like animals. As for the real animals, most aren't out, but if you want to see the cats, it's a great time to go. The cougars, tigers, lynx, leopard, and others are all up walking around, making noise, and are so fun to watch. The red panda was also cruisin around his pen.

Brooke enjoyed it quite a bit, but wouldn't leave her gloves on. She was too busy eating her chocolate chip cookie that we got at the Beastro. (Hence the chocolate mouth in all her pics!) She didn't even want her blanket tucked around her. Sierra and Jax were both ornery and tired, but they got into the spirit after a little while. The hot chocolate is awesome, but extremely hot. If you go, get some right when you walk in and it will be ready to drink when it's time to go home! My kids are nuts and won't drink anything warm, but Jay and I loved it. We even took a ride on the Carousel. It was Brooke's first time and she had to sit on about 4 different animals. Once the ride started going, she was happy. So was Jay since he didn't have to keep her occupied anymore!

We had a great time and if you're looking for something fun and different to do, go visit the Zoo!
