On Friday night, we went up to Classic Skating in Sandy. Our dentist was having a customer appreciation night, so we were able to go for free! Yeah, that's always the best part. It was the first time the kids have tried to rollerblade, so we knew it would be an interesting experience.
We got their skates right at the start and went around the rink with them a few times. You can see on the video how great they are! Then we went to grab some pizza, hotdogs, and drinks. After eating, they pulled out the scooters and rode around a few times. They also had to stand in the circle in the middle of the rink and do the chicken dance. The guy that was doing the announcing was picking winners, and he chose Sierra as one of the best ones doing the chicken dance. She was pretty excited that she won a glo stick! (Anyone up for some Neon Leon?!)
After a bit, we went to the other side where they have the arcade, bouncing area, and a big jungle gym. The kids picked the jungle gym, so they climbed around in there for about an hour. It was great, I just didn't like the fact that the parents didn't have any access to the kids. There was one time where We spotted Jax standing there almost in tears because he couldn't find his sister and couldn't find the way out. Luckily we got it taken care of!
While the kids played in there, Jay took Brooke to the arcade where they played games and won a bunch of tickets. They traded them in for a slinky that Brooke was pretty excited about. Unfortunately, that was the only thing Brooke could do, so we spent most of the time trying to keep her out of the rink and not getting run over.
We ended the night with one last go around the rink. Sierra still fell down quite a bit, but really enjoyed it. We stopped for ice cream cones on the way home and had a great night out.

Looks like fun! They both did pretty good for first timers!
